Calendly Plugin Tutorial

Hi there! And welcome to our Calendly Plugin video. If you haven’t done so already, please watch our System Overview Video first before continuing. It lays down all of the plugin basics you’ll need for this video.

Now, onto the Calendly Plugin. It allows you to sync your Calendly calendar to your app. It’s an online scheduling platform that lives up to their “simple, beautiful” slogan. Your Dashboard is simple and easy to navigate as you create and edit Event Types. What our Plugin allows you to do is enter in the name of your Calendar, which will give the plugin permissions to let your users to quickly schedule an appointment with you. Whether you’re a Real Estate Agent, Consultant, or Tutor — if any part of your business relies on scheduling visits and meeting people, then this Plugin might prove to be very useful.

To add a Calendly plugin to your app, go to Plugins and Add Plugin. Find the Calendly Plugin by searching for it, clicking add, then naming it. I suggest calling it something like “Schedule an Appointment”. If you’d like to also add this plugin to your Side Menu, you can simply check this box. If not, no worries, we’ll go over how to add it to the Side Menu later on in the video.

All you need to do now is clear the Calendar field and type in the name of your calendar as shown in the link. This will auto-populate the link field. For example, this Calendly calendar’s link is So in the Calendar field, I’d type in “Samplecalendar”with no spaces. You’ll see the link appear in the field below. To make sure you’ve typed it correctly, just click on “Validate”. You should see a green bar show up that says “URL successfully validated” afterwards. Your Calendly scheduling tool has now successfully been placed inside your app.

Calendly has a simple and sleek dashboard. Creating an account is free and for the first 14 days, you’ll have access to premium features. If you have any questions, just watch their Quick Start Video here, or check out their Knowledge Base. If you’d like to check out a similar plugin, please see our You Can Book Me Plugin video here.

Congratulations! It’s that simple. Your Calendly plugin has been created. However, if you didn’t add it to your side menu or create it within a Folder, it is not yet accessible to your users. You will need to add it to the app on the Home Plugin, in a Folder Plugin, and/or to the Side Menu. If you already know how to do this, feel free to skip this next section.

If you have the Launcher or Folder Plugin selected for your Home Plugin, you can add it to the Home Plugin by clicking on Home Plugin. Once you’re there, scroll down and click “Add Plugin Instance”. Now find the Plugin you created by searching for the title you gave it, selecting it, and clicking “Apply” at the bottom.

To add it to a Folder Plugin, navigate to any Folder Plugin you’ve created and click on “Add Plugin Instance”, then search for the title you gave it, select it, and click “Apply” at the bottom.

To add it to the Side Menu, go to Plugins then Side Menu, click on “Select Plugin Instance” and, you guessed it, search for the title you gave it, select it, and click “Apply” at the bottom

Your Calendly Plugin is now accessible within your app. Thank you so much for watching. Be sure to check out our other Help Videos and we’ll see you next time!
