Hi there! And welcome to our JotForm Plugin video. If you haven’t done so already, please watch our System Overview Video first before continuing. It lays down all of the plugin basics you’ll need for this video.
Now, onto the JotForm Plugin. JotForm is a popular online tool for creating, sharing, and storing forms. It’s highly customizable to whatever needs you’re looking for. You can use this plugin to ask your users for their opinion on your customer service, surveys and polls, feedback on your app, or just to gather information for any other purpose. All you have to do is insert the form’s URL here. Since this is an integration, for more information on using JotForm, feel free to refer to their help documentation or contact their support team.
To add a JotForm plugin to your app, go to Plugins and Add Plugin. Find the JotForm Plugin, click add, then name it. If you’d like to also add this plugin to your Side Menu, you can simply check this box. If not, no worries, we’ll go over how to add it to the Side Menu later on in the video.
All you need to do now is to copy and paste your JotForm link into this field here. To get your form link, go to your form and click Publish. You can then copy this link here, or click “Copy Link”. Then go back to your Plugin and paste the link in the URL field here.
To ensure that your users have the best experience, please make sure that your form is mobile friendly. To do this, go to My Forms on the JotForm Dashboard, click on the form you’d like to make mobile-friendly, then click “Edit Form”. On this next page, click on the Gear Icon that says Preferences. Click next to where it says “Response Form” and change the response from “No” to “Yes”. Click “Close Settings”. Now Save your changes by clicking on this icon in the left-hand corner. For more information on how to make your form mobile-friendly, click this link here in the Plugin editor.
Congratulations! It’s that simple. Your JotForm plugin has been created and is now mobile-friendly. However, if you didn’t add it to your side menu or create it within a Folder, it is not yet accessible to your users. You will need to add it to the app on the Home Plugin, in a Folder Plugin, and/or to the Side Menu. If you already know how to do this, feel free to skip this next section.
If you have the Launcher or Folder Plugin selected for your Home Plugin, you can add it to the Home Plugin by clicking go to Home Plugin. Once you’re there, scroll down and click “Add Plugin Instance”. Now find the Plugin you created by searching for the title you gave it, selecting it, and clicking “Apply” at the bottom.
To add it to a Folder Plugin, navigate to any Folder Plugin you’ve created and click on “Add Plugin Instance”, then search for the title you gave it, select it, and click “Apply” at the bottom.
To add it to the Side Menu, go to Plugins then Side Menu and click on “Select Plugin Instance” and, you guessed it, search for the title you gave it, select it, and click “Apply” at the bottom
Your JotForm Plugin is now accessible within your app. Thank you so much for watching. Be sure to check out our other Help Videos and we’ll see you next time!
